The 7th International Ethics Summit was held on June 16, 2017, at Istanbul Bilgi University santralistanbul. The summit focused on the impact of globalization and technological advancements on the business world and the ethical crises they have caused.
In a rapidly globalizing world, while productivity and quality in business processes increased, ethical crises emerged in major companies, creating economic “storms” with significant global repercussions. This year’s summit explored the necessary steps for recovery in the aftermath of such crises, guided by experienced business leaders.
The discussions centered on preventing the recurrence of damage caused by ethical crises. The profile of the so-called “man who causes the storm,” or potential abuser, was analyzed, and the key considerations for leaders managing the post-crisis period were addressed. Topics such as revisiting corporate ethics policies, managing communication and reputation during recovery, and establishing a business world governed by ethics and compliance in every aspect were thoroughly examined with concrete examples and fresh perspectives.
